Solar Lunch & Learn - Iron Range

All contractors are invited to join us for a lunch with Paul Hellstrom, the Renewable Program Lead for Minnesota Power, to learn more about the developing solar markets in Northern Minnesota. Solar energy has become a mainstream electric resource with more than 250,000 people employed in the United States in manufacturing, installation and services for solar energy products.  Unfortunately, the industry’s rapid growth has led to a shortage of qualified workers and few certified solar installers in northern and western Minnesota.  Solar systems range from small residential systems to large utility-scale systems, which means there are numerous niches for contractors to find more work. Customers and contractors benefit from a local workforce that is capable of selling, installing and maintaining this growing fleet of solar systems.
